A south Louisiana native, Dr. Barnett received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then attended Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans where she earned the Henry W. Jolly, Jr. Professor award, honoring her as an outstanding medical student in dermatology. After an internship at Tulane University, Dr. Barnett completed her dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Barnett and her husband relocated to Atlanta from Montgomery, Alabama where she co-owned and operated a successful general and cosmetic dermatology practice for more than 7 years. While in Montgomery, Dr. Barnett served as clinical associate professor of dermatology at the University of Alabama Health Center, offering clinical instruction to UAB medical students and residents for more than six years.

Dr. Barnett specializes in all areas of medical and cosmetic dermatology for both adults and children. Throughout her career, she has received extensive training in today’s top cosmetic and medical dermatology procedures, constantly staying abreast of the latest technologies introduced in this evolving area and thoroughly researching and vetting each new procedure to ensure the best results for her patients, rather than just “jumping on the bandwagon” with every new product and/or procedure introduced. She has many years of expertise in the area of injectable fillers, Botox, laser procedures and skin rejuvenation and care, and is highly skilled in medical and surgical dermatology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of many common and complicated skin conditions in both children and adults.

Dr. Barnett believes in the importance of carefully listening to her patients’ individual concerns and working with them to meet their treatment goals. In launching her private practice, she is thrilled to be able to connect with each patient on a deeper level and work closely with patients on tailoring their treatment plans to meet their individualized needs. In founding Atlanta Skin Wellness Center, she is committed to providing the attentive, compassionate and experienced patient care that she knows can make all of the difference for patients in helping them achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy skin.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Barnett is active in a number of local and national professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, and the Dermatology Foundation, where she served as co-chair for the Leader’s Society Campaign from 2014-16. She is married to H. Clay Barnett, III, an Atlanta product defect attorney. Together, they have two children who attend Trinity School. Dr. Barnett and her family enjoy a spirited schedule filled with school activities, sports, local exploration and travel.
