Botulinum toxin treatments, including Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® work by reducing and relaxing muscle contractions, which then improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox® is the most popular cosmetic treatment of its kind, but all three Botulinum toxin brands can safely and effectively smooth the forehead, and crow’s feet (fine lines near the corners of the eyes).

Many patients see results after only 14 days post-treatment, and those results can last for up to 3-5 months. The effects of Botulinum toxin subside over time, which is why Dr. Barnett recommends patients schedule maintenance treatments every three to four months.
